You Make My World Go Round

And it’s another beautiful day in sunny south FLA! :)

Perfectly perfect day to share my newest card with you all. I’m still playing with my new Lawn Fawn “Admit One” set. I’ve decided to give my not so favorite stamps in the set a try and it turns out I actually adore them. The ferris wheel is one of those stamps, for me, that at first sight doesn’t really move me in any direction. Doesn’t inspire me greatly. Although I do think it’s cute, it’s just not my favorite. I also have this wonderful collection from My Mind’s Eye that I won and haven’t really put to use. I’ve used a few pieces here and there but nothing major. What a waste of great product huh! Shame on me for letting it sit on my shelf for so long, hehe! The collection I won is the Lost and Found 2 Sunshine collection. What great colors let me tell you. I love the burlap, the brads, the patterns, I just love everything about it.

Check it out!

All the papers and embellishments on the card are from My Mind’s Eye, including the burlap, the gold brad in the middle of the ferris wheel, the itty bitty gold pearls on each cart, and the copper looking pearls at each end of the banner. The ferris wheel, tickets, and sentiment are all from Lawn Fawn’s “Admit One” set. And the banner stamp’s maker is unknown to me because it was a hand-me-down, but I don’t discriminate and I absolutely love it :). I used stickles for the glittery look on the carts and everything is held down with mod podge. Of course, everything that pops has pop up foamies underneath.

Enjoy!

Lawnscaping Challenge #30 - Inspired By - Entry #2

This is entry number 2 for me to lawnscaping's challenge #30 - Inspired By

I was inspired by the movie Up. Disney's Up is my daughters favorite movie right now. We watch it almost every day in my household. I love it too! Such a great story and message for the little ones. Anywho, what better mix than Disney and Lawn Fawn stamps can you think of!? :). I just love the way the barn looks floating away with those balloons.

Enjoy!

Supply: my minds eye - alphabet soup (girls collection); kraft paper; yellow textured card stock; ink chalks; pop up foamies; mod podge; lawn fawn stamps - critters in the barn & admit one; copic markers; rustic hemp twine; fiskars cloud punches; archival ink - jet black

Hijacked dinner table!

What do you think?! I think it's time for a little spring cleaning and the only way to do that is to make a bunch of stuff which will make me have to use my supply and eventually leave me with a clear table!! ;)

Happy craftings!

St. Patty's Weekend - Lawnscaping Challenge (Inspired By)

Lawnscaping Challenge Entry #30 - Inspired By

The hubby and I have decided that we want to visit as many local fair grounds as we can and lately there have been quite a few in town. The kids love it for the rides and games and we enjoy all the awesome greasy foods. It's becoming a little family tradition for our bunch.

Our fair trips is total inspiration for this cotton candy card but the inspiration first came from a card I saw in the Lawn Fawn Flickr group. The card is by hilde1978 and here is a link to her awesomeness. I tweaked mine a little and so the outcome of the card is different, but, of course, this is what always happens, right!? You take an idea from someone who totally inspires you and make it your own. I love the outcome and I thank hilde1978 for the inspiration and idea. :)

Totally awesome stamps!!! :)

Here is another card I worked on thsi St. Patty's day weekend. My favorite all time book is Charlotte’s Web and as soon as the idea entered my brain I had to turn to my scrap area! Here is the outcome.

I Like Ewe!

I think I’ve regained my creative inspiration! Yay!! Oh, how I’ve missed you. :)

Last night, after (and during) the kids settled down, I threw this card together. The idea in my head and my hands actually coordinated with each other cause this is the fastest I’ve ever put anything together. The end product made me happy too! Enjoy!

Materials:
I used Lawn Fawn's Critters on the Farm for the sheep, birds, and sentiment. You've Got Mail for the envelope, and Bake Me a Cake for the hearts. The paper is October Afternoon's Thrift Shop and Fly a Kite 8x8 paper pads. I also used chalk inks and distress ink and for the middle cloud, white embossing powder. Everything is held down with Paper Mod Podge and all that pops up has pop up foamies underneath.

Lawnscaping Challenge #29

Lawnscaping Challenge #29

For more info go here

This is my first entry ever to a Lawnscaping Challenge and I’m so excited to finally be entering something.

A little story behind my time spent making this card:
The hubby and I spent our weekend in Naples because my cousin was getting married and we, of course, were going. Yea well, that was the plan until the hubby couldn’t get off the toilet for almost 2 days straight. Not cool! We ended up missing the wedding cause he was so sick and spent the majority of the weekend inside our hotel room. Not so bad if you think ahead like me and bring your scrapbook stuff along on a trip!! :) Any who, here are my creations of a wedding weekend gone wrong, or right! Enjoy.

This is my challenge entry! I had so much fun using my new Lawn Fawn stamps.

Here are some other projects I worked on this weekend!
